Al-Mashat stated that the discussions held by the Sana’a delegation in Riyadh were characterized as positive. He added that what the delegation received from the Saudi leadership was unquestionably considered positive messages and assurances and is welcomed under the condition that prompt action be taken to put them into practice.

He affirmed that “Sana’a has been and continues to fight and struggle for peace, ending this aggressive war imposed on it without any logical justification and without prior warning,” pointing out that Sana’a is ready to address any concerns that Riyadh has, just as Riyadh should be ready to address Sana’a’s concerns. Sana’a will only be a source of goodness and peace for its surroundings, neighbors, and the countries of its nation.

On the basis of the sacredness of sovereignty and independence, Al-Mashat urged local adversaries to join them in peace, turn to the path of righteousness, and show respect for their homeland and its people. He also called on them to immediately break free from external influences and abandon any external alignments against their own countrymen.

He affirmed that that relying on foreign countries against fellow countrymen is a disgraceful act and a barrier to the aspirations of a Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue leading to the desired political solution.

The President of the Supreme Political Council welcomed the international community’s openness to Sana’a and stressed the importance of ending hostile alliances that obstruct the peace process in Yemen.

He expressed Sana’a’s aspiration for substantial amendments in international stances that have greatly prolonged the duration of the aggressive war against the beloved Yemeni people.
