Escalating US concerns after the Houthi attack, Britain begins evacuating its citizens from the Gulf

US-UK concerns escalated on Tuesday regarding developments in the Middle East, coinciding with Sana’a’s announcement of its official entry into the confrontation with the Israeli occupation.

Exclusive / Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has threatened to respond to attacks against his country’s forces in the region.

The US defense secretary’s statement comes after Sana’a, through the Deputy Director of the Moral Guidance Department, Brigadier General Abdullah Bin Amer, demanded that foreign forces immediately leave Yemen’s coasts, indicating the possibility of attacks against them, particularly US forces.

In conjunction with the American minister’s statements, Britain, through its Foreign Ministry, called on its citizens to immediately leave the UAE, which is home to the largest US bases.
In its statement, the ministry alluded to arrangements for a possible attack, recalling previous Sana’a attacks using drones and ballistic missiles.

These developments coincide with a British-American movement to contain the escalating confrontations and their regional expansion, as the British Foreign Secretary in the shadow government arrived in Qatar hours after the US Secretary of State spoke with his Qatari counterpart, whose country leads mediation efforts between Hamas and regional and international parties.

These movements reflect concerns about the repercussions of the Gaza war spreading to other countries, putting the influence and future of those states in the region at risk.
