UN: There is no safe place in Gaza

Lynn Hastings, Assistant Secretary-General, and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, warned on Thursday that “there is no safe place in Gaza” due to the continued shelling by the Israeli Occupation since Hamas’ attack on October 7.

Hastings emphasized in a statement that the “prior warnings” issued by the occupation army to residents for evacuation in the targeted areas in the north of the Strip “make no difference,” adding that “there is no safe place in Gaza.”

Hastings pointed out that the occupation army “continues to warn the residents of Gaza City that those who remain in their homes are putting themselves in danger.”
