Sana’a declares the downing of an American aircraft and confirms continued operations against the occupation entity

Sana’a forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced Wednesday evening that its air defenses had downed an American aircraft over Yemen’s territorial waters.

Sana’a / Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

A US MQ-9 was shot down while “conducting hostile acts of surveillance and reconnaissance in the airspace of the territorial waters of Yemen and as part of US military support for the Israeli entity,” according to Brigadier General Saree’s clarification.

“With the appropriate weapons,” the American aircraft was shot down, according to a spokesman for the Sana’a forces, reaffirming their right to “defend the country and confront all hostile threats.”

He renewed his confirmation that Sana’a forces will continue military operations against the Israeli entity “in support and solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people.”

Sana’a forces have previously carried out several air strikes with drones and ballistic and winged missiles targeting deep within the Israeli occupation entity, as part of Sanaa’s support for Palestinian factions.
