Repositioning of American battleships following the Houthi attack

American battleships have repositioned in the Red Sea following an attack by Sana’a forces.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

According to fishermen, American warships have moved from its previous positions near the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait to other regions in the deep waters of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, indicating that there was an alert among the American forces that emerged by expanding the security areas near the battleships for fear of new attacks.

This action was taken the day after Sana’a declared the downing of an American spy aircraft launched from one of the American battleships in the Red Sea.

The US Department of Defense confirmed the downing of the MQ9 aircraft, valued at over 30 million dollars.

While American aircraft have been flying in the airspace near Yemen since the start of the Saudi-led war in March 2015, and Sana’a has previously downed several of these aircraft, the timing of the downing of the new aircraft just days after a US display of its battleships and nuclear submarine, which the US Department of Defense said it moved to the waters surrounding Yemen as part of a pressure strategy to prevent further attacks on Israeli occupation, carried a message to America, according to experts, about the possibility of targeting any naval military movements and showcases Sana’a’s ability to respond rapidly to any movement, as its officials confirm.

It is worth mentioning that the US Department of Defense had announced the deployment of the aircraft carrier “Eisenhower,” in addition to amphibious warships in the Red Sea, not to mention two nuclear submarines.
