Mehdi Al-Mashat, the head of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, stated on Wednesday that any US escalation that harms the interests of our people will be tantamount to a declaration of war, and we will deal with it on this basis.

In a speech delivered on the eve of Yemeni Evacuation Day, November 30, Al-Mashat called on Washington to make substantial amendments to its hostile behavior towards Yemen, considering its behavior does not serve peace in the region. He also praised the achievements of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
Regarding the war and blockade on Yemen, the “President of the Supreme Political Council” stressed the importance of scheduling the implementation steps and initiating the resolution of the prisoner file, lifting restrictions on ports, as well as practical steps for arrangements to withdraw from Yemeni territories and waters as soon as possible.
He added in his speech to the Saudi-Emirati coalition leadership, “We have come an important way on the path to peace, and there is no longer any justification for not engaging practically in confidence-building measures, especially in the humanitarian and economic aspects.” He affirmed Sana’a’s openness to all “approaches aimed at addressing the effects of the aggression on Yemen.”
