Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, the Minister of Defense in the caretaker government in Sana’a, affirmed the Yemeni Republic’s commitment to protect and secure international navigation in the Red Sea. Yemen has the right to protect maritime navigation in its regional waters.

Al-Atifi reassured all countries in the world that the Red Sea is a safe area for navigation and international trade, except for Zionist entity ships or those related to it.
He stated that the Red Sea, from the Gulf of Aqaba to the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait, is off-limits to the Zionist entity, and any ship belonging to the Zionist entity in the Red Sea will be seized or targeted with strikes.
Al-Atifi added, “The naval forces, missile forces, and drones are ready to carry out severe individual and collective strikes on fixed or moving targets related to the Zionist entity in support of our people in Gaza. We will continue to execute missile and drone strikes on any targets related to the Zionist entity until it stops its aggression against Gaza.”
Al-Atifi clarified that the Zionist entity is the primary enemy of peace, and peace in the region depends on the demise of this usurping entity. He pointed out that the Zionist enemy has fallen since October 7, and the map will be changed at the level of the Arab region and the world.
He reiterated that the Yemeni armed forces are in “full readiness and complete preparation,” and God has enabled them to possess all the weapons that can reach the enemy wherever it is in the Red Sea and make its fleets sink to the bottom of the sea.
He mentioned that sensitive and important targets of the Zionist entity have been struck by ballistic and winged missiles and drones, and individual and collective missile strikes have been carried out on enemy ships in the Red Sea, including the seizure of the “Galaxy Leader” ship. He confirmed the complete readiness to inflict the biggest defeat on the Zionist enemy.
Al-Atifi affirmed that Yemen is experiencing a stage of freedom and independence, stating that the era of pressure, coercion, and intimidation has passed forever. He called on the countries of the world to deal with Yemen with kindness, as a free and independent state with its capital in Sana’a.
