Al-Houthi: Any military ship escorting “Israeli” ships will be targeted

A member of the “Supreme Political Council” in Sana’a stated on Saturday that the Yemeni armed forces consider the “military escort of Israeli ships” to endanger the security of the Republic of Yemen. Therefore, it is the right of the armed forces to confront this danger.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Yemeni decision to target all ships heading to Israeli ports also includes Emirati ships, according to confirmations from a member of the “Political Bureau of the Ansar Allah Movement” in Yemen, adding, “It’s difficult for us, as a people who carry the spirit of faith and the flame of Arabism and pride, that we may have peace of mind while our people in Gaza are dying under bombing and siege.”

Al-Assad commented on Washington’s use of veto power yesterday to nullify the Security Council resolution calling for an end to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, stating, “The Yemeni veto will be stronger by the power of God than the American veto,” referring to the escalatory steps taken by Sana’a targeting the occupation entity.

Deputy Director of the Moral Guidance Department in the Sana’a Forces, Brigadier General Abdullah Bin Amer, stated that the actions taken by Sana’a against the Zionist entity were in response to the siege and worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, in addition to the Arab impotence with Washington’s objection in the Security Council to the decision to stop the war.

In a statement to Al-Jazeera Mubasher, Brigadier General Bin Amer stated that Yemen is taking these steps on behalf of the Arabs, who have been reluctant to support Gaza and have allowed the entity to commit massacres. He pointed out that the official Arab regime has not, until this moment, taken serious action against the ongoing massacres and genocide.

He emphasized that Yemen has demonstrated its capability in imposing this decision in recent days through what happened in the Red Sea, referring to the detention of the “Galaxy Leader” ship and the direct targeting of Israeli ships after they refused to comply with the decision to ban its passage through the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.

There have been military movements by the US in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden during the past few weeks, he continued, yet the Yemeni armed forces managed to target Israeli ships despite the US battleships’ best efforts to shield it.

Brigadier General Bin Amer said, “If Washington wants to stop the escalation, it should compel the Israeli entity to cease the escalation and the war on the Gaza Strip.” He affirmed Sana’a’s readiness to confront any options that the US administration may take in the coming period.

Denouncing the inaction of Arab regimes despite having several pressure cards, he affirmed that Sana’a is ready to share the pain and bombing with the people of Gaza and that what is happening in Gaza calls for action from all Muslims.

He pointed out that the Yemeni people are ready to withstand any American measures since they have withstood the Saudi-Emirati coalition for nine years. He pointed out that the continuous American calls to refrain from intervention and escalate the conflict mean that no one stands with Gaza, allowing Israel to continue killing the Palestinian people, and no Arab state has the right to intervene to stop it.

Brigadier General Bin Amer continued in his statement to Al-Jazeera that the Israeli entity seeks to eliminate the Palestinian cause through this war, calling on the people of Arab nations to come out and support the Palestinian cause.

Spokesman for the Sana’a Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced on Saturday evening an escalation of measures against the Zionist entity in solidarity with Gaza, affirming their prohibition of the passage of ships heading to the Zionist entity of any nationality unless it brings the needed food and medicine to the Gaza Strip.

In a military statement, Brigadier General Saree warned “all ships and companies against dealing with Israeli ports,” while at the same time declaring that any ship heading towards the enemy entity will be a legitimate target.

He emphasized that the Yemeni armed forces will “implement the decision to prohibit the passage of all ships to the enemy entity from the moment of this statement,” clarifying that “the decision to prohibit the entry of foreign ships into the entity comes after our success in preventing Israeli ships from navigating in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.”

The spokesman for the Sana’a Forces reiterated its commitment to “continuing trade movements for all countries and ships, except those associated with Israel or those transporting goods to Israeli ports.”
