The World Health Organization confirmed on Sunday that the emergency department of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the Gaza Strip has turned into a “bloodbath” and needs rehabilitation after suffering severe damage as a result of Israeli shelling.
Yesterday, a team from it and other UN agencies was able to deliver medical supplies to the Al-Shifa complex in western Gaza City, the largest hospital in the Strip.
Tens of thousands of displaced people have sought refuge in the compound, which lacks water and food.
Since October 7th, the entire health infrastructure in the Gaza Strip has been severely damaged by shelling and ground operations carried out by the occupation army.
