The fate of a cargo ship allegedly kidnapped in the Gulf of Aden remains shrouded in mystery.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The identity and fate of the ship are still unknown at this moment. The British Maritime Trade Organization agency has not provided any information about it.
Earlier, the agency reported monitoring a new incident in the Gulf of Aden, stating that an armed group had boarded the ship while it was sailing off the Somali coast.
No details about the ship have been disclosed, nor has any affiliated company been announced, although it is likely to be Israeli.
This new incident is part of a series of attacks carried out by gunmen believed to be Somalis, prompting the intervention of American or Western battleships to reclaim the hijacked ships.
The incident further heightens concerns for shipping companies and limits their operations in the Gulf of Aden, which is an important maritime passage in addition to the already closed Bab Al-Mandeb Strait, which Yemen has already closed to Israeli ships.
