“90% of Gaza’s population, which is approximately 2.3 million people, faces severe hunger,” according to the international relief organization Oxfam.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
In a recent statement, the organization warned that “the risk of famine will increase day by day unless a ceasefire is reached.”
Furthermore, cast doubt on the assessment provided by the “Integrated Phase Classification for Food Security, a program of the WFP, which suggests that a quarter of Gaza’s population faces catastrophic hunger, and emphasized that “almost all families in Gaza miss their meals every day.”
Oxfam pointed out that “the assessment of the integrated phase classification for food security was conducted between November 24th and December 4th and does not reflect the true situation regarding hunger in Gaza.”
It also affirmed that “people are dying of hunger in Gaza while the UK abstained from voting and procrastinated in the United Nations Security Council.”
