Breaking America’s alliance in the first naval confrontation

On Wednesday, Sana’a forces settled its first battle against the new alliance formed to protect Israel in the Red Sea.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Sana’a forces successfully forced an Israeli cargo ship, which the new alliance had attempted to secure passage for through the Bab Al-Mandeb strait, to change its course towards the Cape of Good Hope.

MSC, in a statement, confirmed that one of its ships in the Red Sea is currently being evaluated after being hit by a missile attack claimed by Sana’a.

The company also affirmed its arrangements to redirect the ship’s course towards the Cape of Good Hope.

In the same context, websites tracking maritime traffic showed the US relocating its battleships to regional ports after having deployed them off the Yemeni coast in an attempt to break the Yemeni blockade on Israel.

Satellite images reveal the majority of the battleships being returned to Saudi ports on the Red Sea, with others heading to Djibouti and Eritrea.

According to experts, this new distribution, known as “repositioning,” reflects fears of being exposed to new attacks.

These developments come just hours after the most violent confrontations since America announced the formation of a new alliance in an effort to break the blockade on Israel.

Its battleships accompanying the Israeli cargo ship were targeted by a missile attack and drone strikes that lasted for ten hours, according to confirmation from the US Forces Central Command.

In its statement, the command explained that the attack was carried out by approximately 12 drones, three anti-ship naval missiles, and two cruise missiles.

The US statement came hours after a statement from Yemeni forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree, who confirmed his forces’ decision to target the Israeli-affiliated cargo ship, MSC United, after it ignored several bombing threats and its attempts to ignore Yemeni naval warnings.

The recent developments in the Red Sea were considered by officials as a message to the new American alliance to protect Israel.

Abdulmalik Al-Ajri, a member of the negotiating delegation, viewed the recent operation of the Yemeni Navy as an “obituary statement” to the American alliance.
