UNRWA: The Gaza Strip suffers from catastrophic hunger

The Gaza Strip is “suffering from catastrophic hunger,” and 40% of the population is at risk of famine, according to Thomas White, the Director of Affairs for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza.

Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

White added in a post on his “X” platform page that the people of the Gaza Strip are “hungry and eager to obtain food,” emphasizing that every day in Gaza is a struggle for survival in search of food and water.

He concluded his post by stating that “there is a need for more regular supplies, which require secure and sustainable access to humanitarian aid everywhere in Gaza, including its northern areas.”

White attached a video clip showing hundreds of Palestinians flocking to the UNRWA aid convoy in the city of Gaza.

The war on Gaza has triggered a humanitarian crisis, leaving a quarter of its population starving to death.
