Following the US’ decision to withdraw its important fleets from the region, concern escalated among Israeli occupation leaders.

Hebrew media outlets revealed that the Netanyahu government expressed its concerns to the American administration regarding the consequences of withdrawing the Ford fleet.
The Hebrew website, Ynet, quoted government sources as saying that the US informed the occupation government that the aircraft carrier USS Ford and its accompanying ships would leave the Mediterranean Sea within days.
The fleet, which was sent by America last October, will return to the region along with the aircraft carrier “Eisenhower” fleet to the naval base in Virginia.
The US defense considered the deployment of the fleet as a “deterrent” to prevent any escalation in the region. However, the decision to withdraw it comes at a time when indications of the widening scope of regional warfare have increased, especially with the tension in Yemen following the attack on naval personnel there, in addition to the consequences of targeting Revolutionary Guard leaders in Syria, not to mention the escalating clashes on the Lebanese front and the expansion of Iraqi resistance attacks.
The US decision to withdraw its warships raises concerns about retaliatory operations that may target them. It also indicates pressure on the occupation to move forward with the exit deals from the Gaza quagmire.
