Yemeni officials revealed the success of their non-military strategy to impose new rules in the Red Sea.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Hussein Al-Azzi, Deputy Foreign Minister in the Rescue Government, stated that Sana’a rarely resorts to military action.
Al-Azzi affirmed the successful closure of navigation to the occupied Palestinian ports by the naval forces with moral competence and military and intelligence professionalism, explaining that they are working around the clock to communicate with ship crews and persuade them by calling on them.
The head of the negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, affirmed the application of rules of engagement that did not cause any major material damage or casualties, as reported by Reuters. He pointed out that the objective is to apply pressure to Israel, not to any other country in the world.
He indicated that Yemen is committed to responding and is firm in its position of preventing ships bound for Israel as long as the American attacks continue.
These statements indicate Yemen’s “ethical” victory, as described by Al-Azzi, and the establishment of new rules in the Red Sea that thwart American efforts to market Yemen’s threat to maritime navigation.
