Increase in the number of martyrs in Gaza to 28,064, including police forces

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced an increase in the number of martyrs resulting from the occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip to 28,064 and 67,611 injured since October 7th.

The ministry stated that the occupation committed 16 massacres in the Strip, resulting in 117 martyrs and 152 injuries in the past 24 hours.

Reporters have reported new martyrs and injuries today, as a Palestinian was martyred and others were injured due to an airstrike by the occupation on a house east of Rafah city in southern Gaza.

The correspondent added that a civilian was martyred, and six others were injured in an occupation bombardment targeting a house in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood west of Gaza City. Another house in the Al-Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City was also targeted, resulting in the martyrdom of one person and the injury of others.

Reporters indicated that the occupation forces demolished a residential block west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Meanwhile, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) confirmed the martyrdom of two individuals in a shooting inside Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, in the past 48 hours.

42 Palestinians have been martyred due to occupation airstrikes on residential homes and civilian cars in Rafah city, southern Gaza, since dawn today, according to an Al Jazeera correspondent.

Several members of the Palestinian police were also martyred in an airstrike that targeted their vehicle in Rafah city, southern Gaza, in the second such targeting within a week.

Earlier today, occupation aircraft intensified their bombardment of populated houses in Rafah, resulting in the martyrdom of 25 Palestinians.
