Hussein Al-Azzi, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Sana’a government, stated that “America is spreading lies about maritime navigation” and reiterated that navigation in the Red Sea is safe, with no threat from Yemen.

Al-Azzi explained in a post on his official social media account that “three nationalities are prohibited from sailing in the Red Sea, namely Israeli, American, and British.”

Al-Azzi affirmed that “securing maritime navigation without Sana’a is an illusion, and whoever thinks so is wrong,” clarifying that “283 ships have safely crossed the Red Sea this week.”

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Sana’a pointed out that “constructive talks have been held between Sana’a and the European Union, during which Sana’a confirmed that maritime navigation is safe.”

In turn, the head of the Sana’a negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, stated that international navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas, and the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait is safe. He pointed out that all ships of the world pass peacefully, except for Israeli ships or those heading to the occupied ports of Palestine.

Abdul-Salam added in a statement reported by Yemeni channel “Al-Masirah” on Tuesday evening that “some European countries should have exerted pressure on the Israeli entity to stop its aggression on the Gaza Strip instead of being influenced by the black American propaganda.”

He emphasized in his statement that “the world eagerly awaits not the militarization of the Red Sea but an urgent and comprehensive declaration of ceasefire in Gaza for humanitarian reasons that are evident to everyone.”

Abdul-Salam concluded his remarks by stating that “the Israeli entity would not have been able to continue its crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza without the blind support of America, Britain, and some European countries.”
