Abdul Salam: The repeated American veto announcing represents a declaration of open war on all peoples of the region

Mohammed Abdul Salam, the head of the Sana’a delegation in the political negotiations, affirmed on Wednesday that “the repeated American veto in the Security Council against any resolution to cease the fire in Gaza represents an indelible stain on America’s forehead.”

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Abdul Salam stated in a post on the “X” platform that “the repeated declaration of the American veto is considered a comprehensive aggression against humanity and an open war on the peoples of the region, not only against the Palestinian people.”

He pointed out that “America, with its aggressive policies, puts itself and its interests in direct confrontation with all the peoples of the region, and the crimes of genocide against the people of Gaza can’t be allowed to continue.”

The head of the Sana’a delegation and the spokesman for the Ansar Allah movement called on “the nation’s peoples and regimes to uphold their dignity, break their silence, and make their voices heard with the necessity of stopping the aggression on Gaza and lifting the siege.”

The US exercised its veto power in the Security Council yesterday, Tuesday, to object to a draft resolution presented by Algeria for an immediate cessation of the war on Gaza. This is the third time that America has obstructed a resolution in the Security Council calling for an immediate humanitarian truce in Gaza, “using feeble pretexts in the face of the thousands of lives lost daily due to Israeli genocide.”
