World Health: Children died of starvation and high levels of acute malnutrition in Gaza.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the WHO, said on Monday that teams from the organization visited Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals in northern Gaza and discovered children who died of starvation and severe levels of malnutrition.

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Ghebreyesus added in a statement on the “X” platform that the electricity shortage in Kamal Adwan Hospital poses a “serious threat” to patient care, especially in the intensive care units and neonatal units. He noted that WHO teams delivered nearly 9,500 liters of fuel to both hospitals, describing the situation at Al-Awda Hospital as horrifying after one of the facility’s buildings was destroyed.

Ghebreyesus appealed to the occupying entity to ensure the safe and regular delivery of humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza, especially children and healthcare workers.
