Gaza’s child martyrs outnumber their counterparts who died in the world’s wars

More than 15,000 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip during the ongoing Israeli aggression since last October, a figure that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) says exceeds the number of children who have died in all the wars of the world has witnessed in the past four years.

According to reports, these figures do not include the bodies of children that have not yet been recovered from the rubble, according to UNRWA, which says another 17,000 children currently live without one or both parents.

Moreover, these children do not live in normal conditions because the Israeli aggression, which covers the Gaza Strip from north to south, has forced more than one million and 700,000 civilians to flee and live in inhumane conditions.

According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), half of these displaced people are children, and at least 600,000 children are currently trapped in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, which is under Israeli ground and air attack.
