Famine threatens Gaza children and mothers search for milk

Since the outbreak of the war in Gaza on October 7, at least 32 people have died of malnutrition, many of them children, according to Hamas government’s press office.

The World Health Organization said more than four out of five children had spent an entire day without eating at least once in three days.

WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris said in a statement that “children are starving.”

According to aid organizations, the high rates of malnutrition among Gaza’s children under five are due to the lack of humanitarian aid entering Gaza reaching those in need.
