Postponement of “Roosevelt” deployment in the Red Sea

America announced on Monday the postponement of the deployment of the American aircraft carrier “Roosevelt” in the Red Sea.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

American media reports quoted officials in the US defense as saying that the deployment of Roosevelt has been postponed for another week.

Last week, the US announced its decision to send “Roosevelt” as a replacement for “Eisenhower,” which was tow after five Yemeni attacks against it.

Sources indicated that the Department of Defense has decided to subject “Roosevelt” to further training in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

Among the exercises conducted, according to the sources, are the interception of aerial and maritime drone attacks.

The training focuses on countering unmanned gunboats.

The postponement of “Roosevelt’s” deployment comes despite the completion of the tow process for Eisenhower, which was subjected to a series of attacks in the Red Sea.

According to experts, America’s decision to intensify training to counter drone boats reflects concerns about its potential failure to repel possible attacks that have recently emerged in the theater of Yemeni operations in the Red Sea.
