American hesitation to deploy Roosevelt in the Red Sea after putting it on the Houthi targets list

The US revealed on Saturday a retreat from its decision to deploy the aircraft carrier “Roosevelt” in the Red Sea.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The magazine “National Interest” quoted sources in the US defense as confirming that there is hesitation about the deployment of warships to stop attacks by what it described as the “Houthis,” noting that concerns now revolve around the possibility that this reflects a message to China that they have nothing to fear from the aircraft carrier fleet, which the magazine said was previously hidden.

The US announced two weeks ago its intention to send the aircraft carrier “Roosevelt” to the Red Sea as a replacement for the “Eisenhower,” which was withdrawn, but until now it has not been moved from its headquarters in the Pacific Ocean.

“Eisenhower” has been subjected to several air and naval attacks, according to what the Yemeni forces have announced since the beginning of this month.

The US fears that “Roosevelt” may become a target for Yemeni operations, especially in light of the messages from the leadership in Sana’a, the latest of which was what was stated by the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, that the arrival of “Roosevelt” to the Red Sea will be a target for Yemen.

Since its decision to wage war on Yemen in January, the US has been facing difficulties in the Red Sea, as its ships and battleships have become targets of daily Yemeni operations in the Red Sea after the Yemeni operations were initially limited to ships associated with Israel.
