Epidemic diseases “burn the skin” and kill children in southern Gaza

“There is a large spread of epidemics and skin diseases that appear in the form of pills and even burns on the skin,” a Palestinian woman expressed the struggle of living in displacement camps in the Gaza Strip in the summer heat and the spread of sewage.

Insects are everywhere and cockroaches are widespread and move on children’s faces during sleep, which led to the spread of epidemics, and with high temperatures we lose many children daily.

This new threat threatens about two million displaced people in the Gaza Strip, and is represented by the spread of epidemics and skin diseases such as “scabies”, resulting from the lack of clean water, the deterioration of sanitation, the spread of insects, and the lack of personal hygiene products and medicines, which leads to the death of children daily in displacement camps.
