Food crisis and queues of children in search of a meal in northern Gaza

The food crisis in the northern Gaza Strip has reached unprecedented levels as crossings remain closed and humanitarian aid is suspended.
An official source observed the suffering of children in queues and waiting hours for a meal. The suffering has increased in the recent period under severe congestion and scorching heat.
Children recount being involved in accidents while waiting in line due to crowds and large turnout in search of a simple meal that does not turn off to meet their daily needs.
The World Food Programme said that “half a million people in the Gaza Strip face catastrophic levels of hunger,” and stressed that “Palestinian families in Gaza often do not receive full food rations on an ongoing basis.”
