UNRWA: War in Gaza violates international humanitarian law

The Israeli army carried out a ground operation in central Gaza, while warplanes carried out raids in Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah, leaving dozens dead and wounded, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) released a video showing the extent of the destruction caused by the war in the Strip.
UNRWA said that “207 workers have been martyred in Gaza since the start of the war, in the line of duty.” The announcement coincided with World Humanitarian Day, which falls on 19 August August of each year.
Its director stressed that the war constantly violates international humanitarian law.
