Exclusive Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Mohammed Abdulsalam, head of the Yemeni delegation for political consultations, announced today via the “X” platform that Yemen has allowed the withdrawal of the burning oil tanker “SOUNION” after several international parties, especially European ones, contacted Sana’a.
Abdulsalam emphasized that the burning of the “SOUNION” ship is an example of Yemen’s seriousness in targeting any ship that violates the Yemeni ban decision that prohibits any ship from crossing to the ports of occupied Palestine.
He added that this decision aims to exert pressure on the “Zionist entity” to cease its aggression on Gaza.
Abdulsalam warned all maritime shipping companies linked to the “Zionist entity” that their vessels will remain susceptible to Yemeni strikes wherever the hand of the Yemeni armed forces can reach them until the aggression ceases and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.
Earlier today, the European mission in the Red Sea released recent photos showing the Greek ship S/V SOUNION still burning since August 23, after being targeted by the Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea.
Western reports mentioned the readiness of European forces to tow the floating ship above the surface of the Red Sea, coinciding with news indicating their awaited official permission from Sana’a’s forces.
The Yemeni armed forces announced earlier this week that they targeted the Greek ship “SOUNION” after its owning company violated the decision to ban entry to the occupation ports.
