American hint to withdraw aircraft carriers from the Gulf

The US hinted on Saturday at withdrawing its last aircraft carrier from the Gulf… This comes amid fears of new attacks that may target it in light of the escalating tension with Yemen.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Hebrew Channel 12 reported that U.S. President Joe Biden informed the occupation government not to rely on the presence of aircraft carriers in the region for a long time.

The channel confirmed Biden’s emphasis on the need to reach a solution and reduce tension in the region.

White House Middle East coordinator Brett McGurk resumed his contacts in the past hours in an attempt to push for a new settlement regarding Gaza.

McGurk contacted the occupation government and regional mediators such as Egypt and Qatar, according to American media.

America did not clarify the motives behind its hint to withdraw aircraft carriers in the Gulf, but its timing indicates concerns about possible Yemeni attacks, especially targeting the Eisenhower aircraft carrier, which America was forced to withdraw it from the Red Sea after a few months of deployment.

Currently, U.S. forces maintain two aircraft carriers in the Gulf, the “Roosevelt” and the “Lincoln,” and although the location of these carriers was hidden for the first time in U.S. military history, their recent use in bombing Yemen suggests they are stationed near its coasts.

Moreover, statements by Yemeni leaders in Sanaa about the possibility of targeting these battleships indicate the success of Yemeni forces in identifying their locations and preparing appropriate weapons to strike them.
