The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced that at least 40 dead and 60 wounded were killed at dawn Tuesday in air strikes targeting a humanitarian area in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, in a new massacre of the Israeli enemy.
The civil defence official said that “40 martyrs and 60 injured were recovered and transferred” to nearby hospitals, noting that work is underway “to recover 15 missing as a result of targeting the tents of the displaced in Mawasi Khan Yunis”.
Residents and medics reported that at least four rockets hit the area declared a humanitarian area, which is crowded with displaced people fleeing elsewhere in the Palestinian enclave.
The Palestinian Civil Defense said at least 20 tents caught fire and rockets created craters up to nine meters deep.
A civil defence official said, “Rescue teams are still working to recover martyrs and wounded from the scene.
