U.S. Secretary of State confirms activation of new weapon in Yemen, embassy celebrates

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed on Wednesday the activation of a new weapon in Yemen by his country, coinciding with the failure of Washington’s last cards to stop the Yemeni operations.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The American Minister considered, as reported by the U.S. Embassy in Yemen, the introduction of internet service via satellites to Yemen as one of the goals of using technology to reshape diplomacy and define the features of the future.

Blinken’s statements came on the eve of the U.S. Embassy’s celebration of activating the “Starlink” service in areas controlled by the coalition in southern and eastern Yemen.

The Embassy confirmed that Yemen is the first country in the Middle East to access the service.

Symbolic fees were set for accessing the service, not exceeding 86,000 riyals in addition to an 8,000-riyal subscription fee, which is the cheapest compared to other internet providers.

The reduction in costs for the new internet service indicates America’s efforts to encourage people to adopt the new service for military purposes.

“Starlink” company is known for providing military support to Ukraine in its war against Russia.
