The Palestinian National Council condemns Israel’s bombing of Ibn al-Haytham School

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) on Wednesday strongly condemned the Israeli occupation bombing of Ibn al-Haytham School in the Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza, which shelters displaced people who were forced to leave their homes after their destruction.

The Council stated – in a statement reported by the Palestinian news agency (Wafa) – that the treatment of the countries of the world with the Israeli occupation as if it were above the law, is the main reason behind the continuation of its violations and crimes against the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and stop the war of extermination against the Palestinian people in Gaza, and work to protect the Palestinian people from genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Earlier today, local sources announced the recovery of at least 8 martyrs, and a number of wounded, including a number of children and women, as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting with a rocket the Ibn Al-Haytham School in Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, noting that there are many very serious injuries that reached AlAhli Hospital in the city.
