UN Women has warned of the unseen damage of the war on Gaza. In its fifth report on Sunday since Oct. 7, it said 15,000 pregnant women were on the brink of famine there, while more than 177,000 women faced life-threatening health risks and 162,000 had non-communicable diseases.
After more than 11 months of war, Gaza’s healthcare system has almost collapsed, with 84 per cent of health facilities destroyed, while those still in service lack medicines, ambulances, basic life-saving treatment, electricity and water.
