For the eighth consecutive day, the escalation continues on the Lebanon front, amid violent Israeli raids that leave dozens of martyrs and wounded daily in various areas of Lebanon, at a time when the world is awaiting the response of Iran and Hezbollah to the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, along with other leaders, including Ali Karaki, commander of the party’s southern front.
The Disaster Risk Unit in Lebanon revealed that the Israeli occupation army launched 216 raids on various areas in Lebanon within one day, noting that 36,188 Syrians and 41,307 Lebanese have crossed to Syria since September 23, at a time when UN and international organizations warn of the outbreak of a looming humanitarian crisis.
This comes at a time when the Israeli occupation army is preparing to launch a “limited ground operation” in Lebanon. Israeli officials claim, according to media reports in the past few days, that the potential ground operation would be aimed at establishing a “security buffer zone in southern Lebanon.”
