Britain expressed concern on Saturday, as media reports indicated its involvement in the recent aggression on Yemen.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The British government rushed to deny its participation in the airstrikes that targeted the provinces of Hudaydah, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and Sana’a.
British media outlets had actually confirmed the involvement of Royal forces in the recent airstrikes, which came hours after Yemeni forces released videos of targeting a British oil tanker in the Red Sea with an unmanned boat.
The British denial came despite the UK announcing last January its involvement in a new US-led aggression against Yemen, with its defense minister also confirming the execution of dozens of airstrikes across the Yemeni map.
The British denial reflects the extent of concerns about Yemen’s reaction to British involvement in the new aggression.
It is worth mentioning that Yemeni forces have carried out attacks on about 188 ships in recent months, some of which were British and have already been sunk, with the most prominent being the “Ruby Mar.”
The Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean are the most important shipping lanes for Britain, which heavily relies on oil and energy from Gulf countries and electronics from the Asian market.
