Palestinian sources said on Saturday that the Israeli occupation army separated the northern Gaza Strip from Gaza City, besieging thousands of families in the northern area.
Local residents said that the Israeli occupation army surrounded the town and city of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip by erecting sand barriers, while continuing to target Palestinians who are trying to move and flee from Jabalia towards Gaza City.
“The Israeli occupation army blew up entire residential blocks in Jabalia, leaving dozens of martyrs, wounded and stranded people who were unable to reach any of the ambulance and civil defense crews due to the Israeli occupation army’s targeting of them,” the residents added.
The Palestinian Civil Defense said in a statement that its crews were able to recover about 75 bodies of Palestinians who were killed by the bullets and shelling of the Israeli occupation army.
“Dozens of martyrs and victims are still lying in the streets and the wounded who are bleeding and cannot find anyone to help them because the occupation army prevented access to them,” the Civil Defense added.
For his part, Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, warned of the Israeli army’s insistence on evacuating hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip and preventing the entry of fuel into the hospital, which will cause the death of dozens of patients.
