Catastrophic deterioration of humanitarian conditions in northern Gaza

The United Nations warned of a catastrophic deterioration of the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza in light of the intensification of Israeli military operations, noting that the food crisis in the Gaza Strip is the worst in the history of the organization, this came in conjunction with calls for the immediate and real opening of a safe passage to save the health system in the Strip.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned that the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza is catastrophic with the intensification of Israeli military operations there, seriously threatening people’s ability to access the means of survival.

In its latest update, OCHA said that UN health partners had warned that only three hospitals in the northern Gaza governorate were now functioning at minimum capacity.
