The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has warned that people in northern Gaza are in dire need of life-saving assistance, noting that the Israeli authorities have rejected additional requests over the past two days for food and fuel to enter water facilities in the Jabalya area.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that people in northern Gaza are deprived of life-saving care amid intensified military operations unfolding around and inside health facilities as well as severely restricted access and severe shortages of medical supplies.

WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that only one female staff member, one doctor and the hospital director were left at Kamal Adwan Hospital to care for two hundred patients in dire need of assistance. The World Health Organization stressed the need to protect hospitals from conflict at all times.
