The municipality of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip declared the city stricken by the genocidal war and the Israeli blockade, and issued a distress call to save what can be saved.
The municipality of Beit Lahia said that the city’s residents are suffering a humanitarian catastrophe, as a result of the ongoing war and the siege imposed on the city.
It explained that the city has become without food, without water, without hospitals, without first aid, without civil defense, without doctors, without services (sewage and waste) and without communications.
With US support, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, that has left more than 144,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
