Yemen revealed on Sunday the truth about the passage of Israeli battleships through the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Deputy Director of the Moral Guidance Department, Brigadier General Abdullah Amer, denied the veracity of the recent allegations, confirming in a tweet on his official social media page that no Israeli warship has passed south of the Red Sea since the start of Yemeni operations, referring to the previous year.
Brigadier General Bin Amer’s clarification came following Egyptian attempts to escape from the scandal of receiving an Israeli battleship at the Alexandria port.
Egyptian media outlets and journalists close to intelligence attempted to claim that the battleship came from the Red Sea, amidst an attack on Yemen for not targeting it.
These outlets commented on the scandal of the docking of the Israeli ship “Catherine,” which several European ports refused to receive due to it was carrying a shipment of explosives.
The Israeli battleship was forced to head to the port of Alexandria after crossing the Suez Canal coming from the Mediterranean Sea, where it was rejected for docking.
Egyptian media’s attempt to highlight Yemeni operations in the Red Sea is an effort to keep the media away from criticizing Egypt, which has refused entry of aid to Gaza in recent months and drowned it in allegations about Yemen, which carries the banner of supporting Gaza with operations that previously targeted Israeli battleships at its bases in Eilat.
