The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against Lebanon, as the Israeli aircraft renewed their violent raids on southern Lebanon, and targeted the vicinity of the town of Qana with a series of raids, and the shelling affected nine towns.

Israeli warplanes also violated the sound barrier over several areas, including Sidon, Iqlim al-Kharoub and Beirut.

On the other hand, Lebanese citizens in the Wata al-Khiam area in the south managed to retrieve the bodies of 5 out of 20 Lebanese and a Syrian worker, all of whom were killed during the Israeli incursion into the area.

In the same context, the occupation army demanded the residents of Baalbek and Doros area in eastern Lebanon to quickly leave, threatening to bombard the area.

In a related context, Lebanon announced the fall of 240 martyrs and wounded as a result of 109 Israeli air raids on various areas of Lebanon within 24 hours, including 57 raids on the city of Nabatieh, 26 raids in southern Lebanon and 24 raids in Baalbek-Hermel, bringing the total number of attacks since the beginning of the aggression to 11,876 attacks, according to the report of the Government Emergency Committee in Lebanon.

The report indicated that 71 martyrs and 169 wounded were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number to 2,968 martyrs and 13,319 wounded.

The United Nations, through several affiliated agencies, has warned of the gravity of the current humanitarian situation in Lebanon, describing it as exceeding the aftermath of the July 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon.
