The war on hospitals and children, declared even in polio vaccination centers which were carried out under UN supervision and coordination with the occupation authorities, this is the headline of the Israeli escalation during the past 48 hours, especially in northern Gaza, as well as massacres in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
Within 48 hours, the death toll of children reached more than 50 children in Jabalia in the north, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
On its part, The World Health Organization (WHO) expressed concern after a medical center during the polio vaccination campaign in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip was bombed while a team was present.
Until yesterday evening, the Israeli occupation continued to bombard the hospitals in the Gaza Strip, as its artillery targeted the vicinity of Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia refugee camp in the north, while its marches targeted the wall and gate of the Indonesian hospital and its gate in the north.
Kamal Adwan Hospital director Hossam Abu Safiya said earlier yesterday that six injuries were caused by shelling on the hospital’s third floor designated for children.
The death toll from the raids and shelling exceeded 36 martyrs as Sunday evening, and the number is likely to increase in light of the difficulty of rescue operations as ambulances are scarce.
The Israeli escalation, with its described war crimes, comes within the implementation of the so-called “generals’ plan”, which aims to “displace the residents of the northern Gaza Strip by imposing a complete siege on the area and reducing the entry of humanitarian aid.”
