The director of the Civil Defense in Gaza, Raed Dahshan, announced on Monday that civil defense services have become completely suspended in the northern Palestinian Strip, appealing for help in providing assistance to residents in that area.
Dahshan said that those who are injured in these areas “remain bleeding to death”, pointing out that the remaining members of the Civil Defense in northern Gaza “provide some simple services, because there are no vehicles or any other devices and equipment”.
He also accused Israel of “targeting and detaining their ambulances”, in addition to “arresting 7 members of the Civil Defense,” considering it “a major crime, because all international laws guarantee aid workers to carry out their work without any obstacles,” calling for their release.
He warned that “the residents of the north do not receive any services, even from other UN organizations,” even among our teams themselves, referring to the conditions of war, siege and obstacles suffered by the civil defense apparatus.
