Dozens killed in Israeli shelling of school housing displaced people in Gaza

At least 12 people were killed and dozens wounded on Thursday in an Israeli aerial bombardment of a school housing displaced people in the Gaza Strip.

The shelling targeted the Shuhaiber Elementary School for Boys in al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, a school affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Palestinian medical sources indicated that the number of victims is likely to rise, due to the seriousness of some injuries.
