The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs said Israel does not allow aid from food and water to enter northern Gaza that the UN is trying to send there.
U.N. Assistant Spokeswoman Stephanie Trimblay told reporters on Thursday that the only aid Israel has allowed since the start of its last offensive there a month ago is hospital supplies during medical evacuation missions.
Trimplay said the offensive was preventing an estimated 75,000 to 95,000 Palestinians in the
northern Strip from obtaining items essential to their survival.
Israeli shelling and ground operations were preventing humanitarian workers from reaching those in need.
