The UN Department of Mine Action Programmes has warned that unexploded ordnance remnants pose a long-term threat in Gaza.
The program department said it was difficult to know how long it would take to clear unexploded ordnance in Gaza.
In the enclave of 2.4 million people, the majority of whom are displaced, unexploded ordnance is buried under the rubble of buildings and poses a danger to civilians, who sometimes collect items from underneath.
