UNRWA: The Zionist occupation launched 64 attacks on shelters in Gaza

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that the Zionist occupation forces launched 64 attacks on Palestinian shelters in Gaza during last October, an average of two attacks per day.

“More than half a million people have no shelter,” said Louise Wattridge, the agency’s emergencies officer, during a press conference in Geneva, adding that schools housing thousands of displaced people were “on the verge of collapse” due to repeated shelling and ongoing military operations.

Watridge described the situation in Gaza as “appalling” after 13 months of intense Zionist aggression, noting that 70 percent of the civilians killed in this aggression are women and children.
