The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that five people were killed and twenty-four others were wounded in an initial toll of the Israeli raid that targeted the vicinity of Husseiniya al-Zahra in the Zoukaq al-Blat area in central Beirut.
The raid on al-Blat alley is the second in twenty-four hours to target an area in the Lebanese capital, after a bombing of the Mar Elias commercial area on Sunday left two dead and 13 wounded, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.
Earlier, the Israeli army on Monday bombed the course of the Litani River – the outskirts of the town of Balat in the Marjayoun district of Lebanon’s Nabatieh province with internationally banned cluster bombs, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health had previously announced that the death toll of the aggression on Lebanon had risen to 3516 martyrs and 14929 wounded.
