The US began on Monday the push to drown the new administration in the quagmire of ground warfare on Yemen.

Diplomatic sources reported the Biden administration’s decision to start deploying American forces on Yemeni soil as part of arrangements for escalation in the coming months. Media reports indicated the arrival of American military cargo planes in Shabwa Governorate.

Despite America’s attempt to provide UN cover for the “last trip” by talking about its affiliation with organizations, satellite images revealed that Ataq Airport was incapable of receiving flights of this nature, confirming military motives.

Shabwa is one of the oil crescent governorates where American units are stationed under the pretext of fighting smuggling and the war against Al-Qaeda.

The reinforcement of American forces in Shabwa followed the revelation by the head of the Washington Center for Studies and the head of congressional advocacy, Saif Al-Muthanna, of Biden’s administration’s approval of a plan to officially deploy troops in Yemen as part of its efforts to contain military operations against Israeli occupation.

According to Al-Muthanna, these forces will oversee selected Yemeni factions for training and preparation to confront Yemeni forces in Sana’a.

The option of ground escalation in Yemen is part of Washington’s plans, which it has been working on in recent days by supporting the Al-Islah Party, the Muslim Brotherhood’s branch in Yemen, to re-enter the political scene with a new bloc.

The transfer of forces to Shabwa indicates America’s reliance on the party, which still maintains large forces there.

The head of the party’s Supreme Authority, Mohammed Al-Yadoumi, announced war hours before the American landing in a tweet.

Al-Yadoumi launched an attack on protesters showing solidarity with Gaza, accusing them of being addicted to servitude.

Al-Yadoumi’s recent characterization is an attempt to undermine Gaza’s support within the Yemeni consciousness and market it according to the American narrative and party agenda.
