Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, Hussam Abu Safia, revealed that “the hospital is still under the “Israeli” siege, and what is being circulated in the media about allowing the entry of medical aid is incorrect.”
Abu Safia stated that “after 4 weeks of waiting for the World Health Organization to bring in food, medicine, and specialized medical teams, the occupation forces emptied the ambulances of food on the street and returned the medical delegation.”
He pointed out that the occupation forces only allowed the entry of 7 crates out of 40 boxes of medical supplies, noting, “We are losing numbers of wounded and martyrs daily due to the lack of surgical specialties.”
The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital explained that “a large number of malnourished children are arriving at the hospital, some in critical condition, in addition to a number of elderly people due to the Israeli blockade and the war of starvation against the Palestinian people in Gaza.”
He mentioned, “We are still providing services at a minimum level, and unfortunately, the ones performing surgical operations are pediatricians out of the necessity of saving lives.”
Abu Safia added, “We receive daily distress calls, and we can’t help them; there is not a single ambulance or civil defense operating in northern Gaza,” stating, “Yesterday, we received a distress call from women and children under the rubble, and because we couldn’t assist them, they have become martyrs today.”
He emphasized that northern Gaza is under a strict siege, with the occupation preventing the entry of water, food, and medicine and not allowing surgical doctors in after the arrest of the surgical staff, adding, “The forced deportation of citizens from northern Gaza is still ongoing.”
This comes within the context of the genocide war against the Palestinian people, using hunger as a weapon to subdue, kill, and displace them, in violation of the laws of war, international laws, and humanitarian laws with full American and Western support and cover, and protection of the Israeli occupation from accountability.
In a related context, the municipality of Fakhari in Gaza announced the halt of the necessary fuel supply to operate water and sanitation facilities and waste collection, which threatens serious health and environmental disasters.
It pointed out, “The suspension of these services deprives more than 20,000 citizens of clean water and leads to waste accumulation and the spread of epidemics,” urging “the international community and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to pressure the Israeli side to resume fuel supplies and save the population from an impending disaster.”
It is worth noting that the Israeli enemy army committed 4 massacres in Gaza in the past 24 hours, resulting in 76 martyrs and 158 wounded, with the toll of martyrs exceedingly more than 43,922 and the wounded over 103,898 since October 7 last year.
