European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Thursday that U.N. humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip may be halted next Monday due to running out of fuel and food.

“The delivery of needed aid is being obstructed or blocked for unjustified reasons, and looting is becoming increasingly organised,” he said on X.

Borrell noted that “there is no longer a community in Gaza, but individuals struggling to survive. No one is safe and no place is safe. In the name of humanity, this ongoing carnage in Gaza must stop.
